Business Branding
The goal of this project was to create brand guidelines for a business, being heavily interested in the outdoor industry I chose to make a local bike shop for my business. Through this project, we created brand guidelines that outlined how to use the different variations of the logo, which fonts and colors the brand would use, and the imagery and writing style for the brand. We then designed a website for the brand using Figma, focusing on utilizing the brand guidelines to shape the website making sure the logo was being used correctly as well as fonts and colors were being used correctly. Overall this project pushed us to learn critical skills that are used in the graphic design industry such as brand strategy, brand identity design, and web design.
What is the brand
Being heavily interested in the outdoor industry I chose to make a local bike shop for my brand. Being local their primary customer is going to be locals within the area as well as tourists that are visiting. My goal with the brand was to make it very welcoming for everyone and create a community within the brand, a lot of times bike shops can be intimidating for people, whether that's the aggressive branding, the limited online presence, or simply just because they are new to it. The goal of Spoke & Gear is to create a welcoming feeling, with a better online presence, and no pressure feeling.

These brand guidelines outline all of the information that would be needed to create assets and content for the brand from logo use, fonts, color, imagery, and writing style

The website is an example of what the home page would look like for the brand. Started with a rough wireframe to get the basic layout for the website. After the wireframe was complete started to add images colors and specific fonts from the brand guidelines to build out the website. V2 made some very small improvements that made a large impact, adding a footer and menu button. Also rounded some corners on the images and made sure that the radius is consistent across elements.
